The Big Dig: A Creatives Meet-Up

Tired of networking events where you end up chatting with someone’s random friend instead of the people you actually came to meet? No offense to the plus ones—they’re probably great—but we know you’re here to connect with fellow creatives and talk shop. Or maybe you just want to catch up with that one person you met on set once that you’ve been meaning to grab a drink with? Either way, we’ve got you covered. Heavy Shovel Productions is throwing our first-ever meet-up in New York— The Big Dig (get it? It’s a shovel pun).

The Event:

Part One: Structured Networking (But Made Fun)
We’ve designed this part of the night to ensure you meet the people you actually want to talk to- and the Heavy Shovel Team is hand-matching you with folks to talk to to make sure that happens. We are dusting off our camp counselor skills and creating some facilitated fun. You can come to this event solo. You must register to attend this part of the night, and spots are limited.

Part Two: The Party (Also Fun)
Mix & Mingle. If facilitated chatting isn’t for you, roll up just for this part and bring your friends! Anyone who is creative, a friend of creative, or wants to be creative is more than welcome. The DJ will be spinning, and dancing might be a thing. Featuring the most fabulous photo station ever, run by Matria Rentals.

  • Time: Part One Doors @ 7:00 pm | Part Two Doors @ 8:30 pm

  • Location: MCM Creative - 253 West 28th St NY, NY - (details given on ticket)

  • Tickets: No door sales, so lock in your spot now. Limited availability. Your ticket covers entry, snacks, and our open bar.

  • Price*: $35 [Part One + Part Two] | $30 [Part Two] — will go up $5 week of the event.

How To Get Tickets:

Our goal is to keep Part One actually helpful, so we are asking folks to fill out the form below. Space is limited, so we recommend you submit it ASAP.

  2. Once approved, you will receive an email to buy your ticket for the whole event.

  3. If space is no longer available for Part One, you will receive an email to register for Part Two.
